Rolls Royce opens new shipyards in Puerto de La Luz
The British multinational has trusted the provision of the cranes of GH CRANES & COMPONENTS and the collaboration of Astilleros Canarios (Astican), for the establishment of one of their most important repair and maintenance workshops for oil rigs and ships in general.
The hall, consisting of 2000 square metres, has 7 GH EOT cranes that become a reference inside Rolls Royce, a multinational bounded to excellence and quality, and that has been one of the better valuated brands in the global world.
The president of the Canarian government, Fernando Clavijo, the president of the Cabildo de Gran Canaria, Antonio Morales, the mayor of Las Palmas, Augusto Hidalgo, the president of Autoridad Portuaria de Las Palmas, Luis Ibarra, among other authorities, opened, together with the president of Rolls-Royce, Andrew Marsh, and the CEO of Astican, José Carlos Álvarez, the new repair, maintenance and storage workshop of Rolls-Royce located in the facilities of Astican, in Puerto de La Luz.
